Control mobile playlist through desktop client

Control mobile playlist through desktop client

I recently got the new Samsung GS8 and have been having to manually download every playlist 1 at a time. In the past I could open my desktop client, select my phone, and mass-set playlists to download to it. I can't seem to find this option and searching google/these help forums has been no help.

All I see in the left sidebar is Browse and Radio.

Hey @lawrencewlee

Unfortunately this feature has been discontinued for a few years now. This feature used to be in an older version of the desktop app.

Now you will need to manually select what you want to download to your phone by following this article: https://support.spotify.com/using_spotify/search_play/listen-offline/

Thanks. I figured that was the case. It's been a few years since I've needed to use it so that would explain why I didn't notice it missing.

It would be nice if offline playlist selections were a setting that could be transferred between phones using Samsung's Smart Switch or Google's built in account.

You're welcome
