Country-based Restrictions

Country-based Restrictions

Afternoon all,

Can someone please explain to me how the restrictions on certain songs work and if/how/when they can be lifted.

Understand that it's up to record companies to decide to add albums and tracks to Spotify, but I see no value in restricting certain songs from certain countries (eg. Looper's "Mondo '77" restricted in the UK).

Can someone shed any light on why this happens?

Thanks.

JOE.

Its down to Music Industry licensing as far as I am aware. Content is licensed "per" country (or in groups of countries).
