Delayed start to tracks

Delayed start to tracks

On a 2-month-old HP Pavilion 24-ca0029 AiO PC with Windows 11…
I’m getting a 6 or 7-second delay playing individual tracks on Spotify.
Happens after about an hour of playing on about 90% of songs in my downloaded playlists.
Sounds like fade but we’ve played with fade and no resolution.
Thoughts?

Hey there,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, we'd like to gather as much info as possible. Would you mind sharing with us the exact Spotify version you have running on your computer?

On another note, if you haven't yet, you can start off with a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your device to see if this makes a difference. By doing that the app can be up-to-date and you can make sure the cache is not leading to this inconvenience. You can find out the steps for doing it here.

Lastly, did you notice if this started to happen after a specific event such as an OS update? If yes, please send us the details.

Keep us in the loop!

To answer your questions:

Version?

Spotify for Windows 1.1.95.893.g6cf4d40c

No, I did no notice this starting to happen after a specific event such as an OS update.

*Same delay occurs when using the Spotify web version on this PC.

I have been away and have not reinstalled the app.

Cheers

Hey @JimmyNorth,

Thanks for the reply.

It's important to try performing a clean reinstall as proposed by @AlejaR, because this can resolve most of the issues with the app. Let us know once you've done it and share the results.

Also make sure you're using the latest app version. This should be 1.1.97 at the time of this reply.

Cheers!
