My Question or Issue

I recently downloaded the Spotify desktop app for Windows 10. When I try to open it, the process just sits in the background and does nothing. I know it is, in a certain sense, running, as I can see it in the Task Manager, but there is no other evidence of this.

Welcome to the Community!

 

We recommend performing a clean reinstall of the desktop app by following the steps in this article. This will let you start afresh with the latest app version.    

 

Make sure as well that Spotify is whitelisted in your firewall settings and antivirus software. In case you're using a VPN we suggest turning it off and trying again.
