[Desktop] Recently Played not updating correctly

My Question or Issue

After the latest update the Recently Played section no longer updates correctly on the PC version of the app. The section only shows whatever it is that I'm currently listening to plus a song that I viewed (but never actually listened to) from almost a month ago. If I listen to more than one than one playlist/artist while in the app it will all show up in my Recently Played, however, if I close and restart the app my Recently Played will revert to only showing the very last item I listened to plus the previously mentioned song. 

 

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app on my PC and it didn't solve the problem. I also have Spotify installed on my phone and my Recently Played section has been updating correctly on there, my only issue is with the PC version.

It would seem that you're also experiencing a case of this Ongoing Issue, that @Alex posted above. We understand how this could cause some frustration and want to reassure you that the right team is looking into it. Hi Mihail,

While I applaud your optimism regarding the right team looking into it, I doubt that this is the case due to the fact that the issue was reported almost 2 years ago. I understand that moderators are not to blame for this but you cannot not get frustrated by disregard Spotify team shows towards its customers. I'd prefer no communication to someone 'looking into it', to be honest.

Hi Ivan,

As I have already stated, using Spotify on my phone the Recently Updated works just fine. When using Spotify on my PC it doesn't update correctly. Both devices are using the most current version of the app.
