Desktop app looks different on different computers

On my pc at work (win 7) I have the - I believe - freshest version of the spotify desktop app (1.0.44.100.ga60c0ce1), with the control buttons in the middle over the status bar (which is really bad btw, because it takes more space than when it's in the bottom left corner, but that's not the point now) and with the relatively new feature "your daily mix", from which I assume this is the freshest version. However, on the pc at home (win 10) I have the same version of the app, but the "your daily mix" is nowhere and the control buttons are on their old place in the bottom left corner (where they should be in my opinion). What could cause the difference? Is it because of the different version of the windows or is there some other problem? I really like the daily mix, but I can't use it at my home pc right now.
