My Question or Issue
Hi guys, I have an issue recently that my windows devices do not sync current music with other devices. It happened after I updated software on Windows devices. Playlists and history are synced. None of them detect each other in devices section, but they all detect the TV. They don't even sync when joining a Jam. I tried anything found on forum, but no result. Checked Windows firewall for blocking spotify, and reinstalled software on devices. I think the problem is from Windows software. I would be happy if you can help me. Thanks!
Hi there @Radin755,
Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to look into this for you.
Could you please provide us the following:
With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
Keep us posted.
Thanks for reaching out,
Well, I have LG TV too, which is easily being connected to phone and syncing on phone, but not with my windows devices.
I tried with hotspot as you said but did not work again.
My systems:
1. Asus PRIME B250-PRO motherboard, Intel Core-i5 6500T cpu, Windows 11 Enterprise 21H2
2. Laptop HP EliteBook 8460p, Intel Core-i5 2520M cpu, Windows 10 Enterprise
Their both Spotify version:
Spotify for Windows (64 bit)
1.2.53.440.g7b2f582a
3. Samsung Galaxy A52, Android 13, Spotify version: 9.0.8.127
Thanks for the details @Radin755.
You mentioned reinstalling the software, but could you also give Spotify a clean reinstall with the steps here? An issue may have come up after you reinstalled the software so let's see if there will be any difference. If it works with the TV and phone, the issue might be related to your Windows devices.
If you've downloaded Spotify from our website, I recommend downloading it from the Microsoft Store instead (and vice versa) as they can have different behavior.
Additionally, take a look at the info in this help article and we'd appreciate if you can share what steps you've tested with already so we can avoid repeating them.
Lastly, let us know if you're able to sync playback from the Web Player.
We'll be on the lookout for your response.
Thanks for your guidance,
After trying web player and still having the problem I was sure the problem is from the devices network configuration. Turns out the dns server both devices were set was somehow preventing the player from syncing. I was having the same issue on all networks because it was still set on the same dns server. After changing that the problem was was solved.
