There is something weird going on where the screen is all purple and I can't do anything...

This looks like a really funky issue with the graphical user interface.

Try these:

1. Disable hardware acceleration by clicking on the three dots - View. (if you can)

2. Ensure you have all Windows updates installed. Pay attention to anything related to graphics.

3. Reinstall Spotify.
