My Question or Issue
To whom it may concern,
I want to ask for an update on the feature addition to make podcast videos optional and disable-able on the Windows OS. This is an existing issue obviously as I see semi-relevant cases dated back to 2017 and recently June-July of 2020. I'd like to ask for a roadmap or something besides "hey user, this is a great idea!"
I never care enough to log these cases, but today I got fed up with the Joe Rogan podcast crashing multiple time in the span of minutes.
Is there anything that you could provide me from the product team or someone legitimate that shows me (and hundreds/thousands others) that Spotify cares about this?
Ideally, for me, someone could reply before next week, when my Student Premium expires and I reassess whether to renew.
Thank you,
George
Hi there @georgetrzv,
Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!
The option to disable video on podcasts on the desktop app isn't available. However, there's currently this live idea about it. We recommend checking it out and adding your +Vote and comments to show your support. All the updates regarding that are shared in that thread, so we recommend Subscribing to it so you don't miss any news.
We don't have a timeline for when or if this will be implemented, so we can't commit that there's going to be an update before next week.
We appreciate your understanding. If you have any questions or need anything else, give us a shout.
Cheers!
