Do private playlist listens show on Spotify Social?

Do private playlist listens show on Spotify Social?

Hi,

Does anyone know if making a playlist private simply means others can't view the playlist itself, or also works like a private session in that people can't see what you're listeing to?

Thanks

Hello:

Yes that is what private session is supposed to do. But you should also temporarily disconnect any social media sites added to your account, as the private mode will not interrupt those connections. For example connected with facebook, tumbler, and last.fm. You can create a Spotify device ID password, so you can disconnect temp of facebook at any time, and still get back into your account on your devices that have a Spotify App if you have a facebook/Spotify created user account.

Hi,

Sorry, I should have specified, I was wondering about Spotify Social in particular. I've noticed that when I'm listening to my private playlists my activity is published on Facebook (which is fine with me), however I was curious as to whether this activity is also displayed on Spotify Social. If that is the case then I don't mind, as I only made the playlists private so only I could view them in their entirety, not to hide the activity.

Thank you

Same question here! Was this ever answered?

Played a song in one of my private playlists when private session was off. Private playlist name didn't show up but song title, artist and album appeared in feed. When public playlist were played, though, the playlist name showed up and your friends would be able to click and play it. So, unless you change your private playlist to public playlist, your private playlists would only be accessible to you and you only 😉

Hope it helps.
