My Question or Issue

Free on Windows 10

Was told that there was a new version of Spotify available but when I use the dropdown menu (...) to select "About Spotify", where it shows you the current version and allows you to download the new version, I cannot click on "About Spotify". It scrolls out of view and it can't be selected.

Hey there, welcome to the Spotify Community!

Can you share a screen recording of the same so I can take a closer look? Meanwhile, you can try opening the menu and then use your keyboard to browse. You can reach the help option using the down key and then the right key to access the sub-menu.

Also, when an update is available it is often automatically downloaded. In that case, you will see a blue badge like an unread counter on your profile picture (top right if the friend's activity panel is hidden). Clicking on your profile will show another option that says Update Spotify. It does the same thing.

Keep me posted.

Same problem here. It cannot be selected. Not even with the keyboard.

This problem also happens with View -> Hardware acceleration.

Clearly a bug that must be fixed.

Hey @OnionMan71,

In this case and as we couldn't reproduce the issue on our end, there's most likely something off with your installed copy of the app itself 🙂
To try and fix this, we can go over the steps for a complete clean reinstall of the Spotify app. This will ensure there are no leftover data files from the previous installation that may be causing the described issues.

Keep us posted on how things go and, should the issue persist, please send us a screenshot of how it looks like on your end as well. Many thanks!
