My Question or Issue

My Spotify was working just the other day, but yesterday I tried to open it and it kept giving me the error code. I have tried all the recommended workarounds (IPv4, DNS Flush, Fresh Reinstall) Nothing seems to work. I just want to be able to listen to my music. Please help!

Hi there @thecontractg,

thanks for reaching out to the community !

Sorry to hear you're having an issue but no worries, i'm here to help.

I would have to ask for more info in order understand the source of the issue.

Therefore, please provide me with the following :

- Have you tried using your account on a different network/WiFi connection ?

- Does this happen accross all devices you're trying ?

- Does Spotify has all permissions on your Firewall/Anti-Virus softwares ?

Thanks for your patiance.

Waiting on your update 🙂

Hello,

Thank you for finally replying to me, starting to get alittle upset at this haha.

I don't have another network to try it on since it is my home desktop, but I booted up my laptop and it seems to be working just fine on here.

To answer the second question, it seems to be working fine on my phone and my Laptop just not my Desktop.

From what it appears, my firewall has "Spotify Music" as an app that is permitted. I have disabled my anti-virus and still have no luck.

Hopefully I can get this fixed. I have used Spotify for years with no problem and don't want to have to stop using it now due to this unfortunate happening.

Thank you for your help, waiting for your reply!

Hi @thecontractg,

thanks for the update !

Let's try another trick:

- Enter "Command Prompt" on your Win search bar

- type : ipconfig / flushdns

Maybe this'll do the trick 🙂

Unfortunately that was one of the first things I did and keep doing. Nothing

I'm not too sure if this helps or not, but my Spotify folder is completely empty. I don't even have an .exe I have to launch from the desktop icon

SOLUTION FOUND

I followed up on my folder being empty and went through all my files and deleted any trace of spotify, this included WindowsApps files. Installed again and it works!

Hi @thecontractg,

thanks for the update !

Glad to hear it all works now.

Enjoy Spotify 🙂
