Same problem here since yesterday, it doesn't affect all songs for me, but most of them. I don't use local files at all on Spotify. It works for a little bit after clearing my cache and restarting but after a while it starts again.

I have the same issue, it wont let me play anything on the app or the browser. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that only works sometimes and when it did it worked only for a couple weeks before I had the same pop up. It also sometimes plays/skips like 10 songs for no reason. So you are not alone on this problem.

I can't play some podcasts on my MacBook, in the browser, or on the official app. There are other ones that I can play normally. This only happens on my Mac and not on my iPhone. I have tried to reload the browser, also uninstall and install the app again but not success.
I get a flash message that says "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."
