My Question or Issue

Okay. so for the past few days for some reason when I have tried to listen to music on desktop it randomly pauses every 20 seconds or so. When I listen on mobile I do not have this problem at all, it seems to be a desktop exclusive problem. why is this and how can it be fixed?

thanks for reaching out to the community !

 

I would suggest performing a clean reinstall (more thorough than the regular one) of your Spotify app using the steps provided on this Spotify Answer.

 

It tends to solve these type of issues and provides the user with a fresh new copy of the app.

 

In addition, make sure to run an update check on your OS and audio drivers.

I would also recommend:

  • Restarting your router
  • Try with different WiFi networks and 3G/4G.
  • Disable Battery and Power saving mode
