My Question or Issue

i already turned on the local files option and selected the music source, but my local files DOESNT show up in my albuns or in the music library. I already checked and the files are compatible but still, the local files just doesnt show up.

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Community!

We understand you have difficulties seeing the music from your Local files, so let's try help out. In this page here you can see the methods of adding source folders with Local files into your Spotify app. The music from the folders you've selected should be visible in Local Files in Your Library, when the setting for showing them is turned on. We can also share here with you the current supported formats, so you make sure this is not the issue: 

  • .mp3
  • .m4p (unless it contains video)
  • .mp4 (if QuickTime is installed on your computer)
  • .m4a (unless it’s an Apple lossless file; ALAC or ALE)

It could be also worthwhile to try renaming your Local files' folder (or moving the files to a different folder) and then to try and source them to your Spotify app again. See if this makes any difference?
