Music only playing for 2 seconds

I was listening to music all morning with no problem and then the player paused the song. Now when I hit play, it only plays the song for 2 seconds and pauses it again.

This looks like internet connection, try to close the app and enter again, restart your device, re-log into Spotify, if nothing happens, reinstall Spotify.

Closing and reopening worked the 2nd time around. Very odd....
