Yesterday, I updated my Spotify app on Windows 7, and since then, I am getting this error. I have restarted my PC, reinstalled the app multiple times, cleared cache, tried changing the proxy settings, checked if my country is the right one on the website, added Spotify to the list of exceptions on Windows Firewall, and even checked if it is a trusted application on my antivirus. Nothing seems to work. It is working fine on other PCs. When I reinstall it and log in, it shows my profile picture (which it obviously downloaded), but nothing else works.

Hi there @divyanshupundir,
thanks for reaching out to the community !
There are two things we can do in order to try and solve the issue.
First, follow these steps:
- Click on your Win search bar
- Type in "Command Prompt"
- Then type : ipconfig / flushdns
These action should "shake" things up on your DNS and may help solving it.
In addition, i was able to find an old post regarding the same issue with many different option on how to solve it.
Check it out here and let me know if you were able to find guidance.
Waiting to see how you did 🙂
After disabling and then enabling the adapter, the problem got fixed.
@OneByBoo thanks a lot for the help!

I got the following message:
Windows IP Configuration
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
It still didn't work.
I changed the DNS addresses to 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4, but this too isn't working.
I noticed one thing though when I changed the proxy setting in the app too HTTP from Auto Detect, my profile picture isn't being displayed.
Hi @divyanshupundir,
thanks for keeping me in the loop !
I still strongly believe there's something on your network preventing Spotify from getting full access.
Is you network a home one or work one ? is it possible for you to try your account on the same device but different network ?
Thanks for your patience and cooperation 🙂
I noticed this just now. Even though I am using the internet on this PC, Network and Sharing Center shows that there's no internet. This probably has something to do with the problem.
After disabling and then enabling the adapter, the problem got fixed.
@OneByBoo thanks a lot for the help!
