My Question or Issue

Using the desktop app or the browser player (in chrome), in any playlist, whether on shuffle or not, the player on the bottom of the window will play 2 songs. By the end of the first song, it will begin the second song (audio only) but continue displaying the completed progress bar (and name of song and artist) of the first song. At that point, the play button displays a pause symbol (as in, the music is NOT paused), however the third song will not begin playing. The song progress bar simply stays at the end of the song (showing the first song completed). Pressing the "next song" button will restart the second song (and display it). To go to the third song it needs to be pressed again. The attached screenshot is the first song stuck in its completed form.

Spotify app is currently version: Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.60.564.gcc6305cb.
This has been happening for at least 2 weeks.
The app has been updated, we have logged out and in, cleared cache each time, and restarted the computer as well.
Any ideas to resolve this?

Hi @allezupmtl,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

Great troubleshooting so far! We appreciate all the details you sent, it helps us avoid repeating steps.

First up, could you try logging in with a different account on that device, to check if you can replicate the behavior there? It can be a family member or friend's account. This will help us identify if this is account-related.

If that doesn't make a difference, could you try using a different internet connection? A mobile hotspot is usually a convenient way to test this.

Lastly, try checking your Hosts file by following the steps here.

We'll wait for your reply.
