Playlist image gets rotated

whenever i try to upload one of my own images as a playlist cover, the picture gets rotated 90 degrees. i've tried manually rotating the picture so it would correct itself but it doesn't work. ive also tried reinstalling spotify but that didn't help either.

Can you try saving the copy of your image and uploading it again?

Just to confirm, does the playlist cover look rotated when viewing that playlist on a different device or the web player?

If it does and you haven't tried already, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app on your desktop device by following the steps in this Spotify Answer.

In this case, it'd be a good idea performing a thorough reinstallation of the app on your desktop device with the steps mentioned above. After that, try uploading the image once more.

We'd also recommend making sure that the image you're trying to upload is a .jpeg file, with a maximum file size of 4MB.
