Random Character username

When I created my account I got assigned a username with random characters and numbers.

Changing it on this website here apparently had no effect as it still displays the same username on my account. How do I get a human-readable username?

Edit: the changed username shows up here in the forum but not under https://www.spotify.com/de/account/overview/ and If I share my profile link it also only contains the name with random characters, this is what I would like to change

Hi @danielschaefer, welcome to the Community!

Your username here on the Community and on Spotify are completely different, one doesn't affect the other and vice versa. There is currently no way to change your Spotify username.

If you would like to display a different name on your Spotify account, you can:

1. Create a new account and put in your preferred name.
   • Please note that you need to cancel any subscriptions that you have on your existing account before moving accounts. If you do decide to move, you can follow this guide on how to switch accounts.
2. Connect your existing account to Facebook.
