Removing Spotify from my computer

When going to my Control panel, add-remove programs, I cannot remove Spotify.  Anyone know why?  I do not use it.  Perhaps I neeed to first "close" my account?

closing your account wont make a difference. make sure its not open and not running and processes in the ctrl alt delete processes and then try again, maybe go into safe mode and do it if that does not work

I had to click on remove a couple times before it finally started up the remove processes of the program.  Waited about 30-45 seconds between clicks to make sure that Windows wasn't freaking out in the background.  This last update realls farked up soem things in Windows
