Revert Heart Icon and Like Terminology

The Heart Icon and “like” terminology have now shown up on my iPad and iPhone and I feel this new language is illogical and misleading. I save albums/songs to “Your Library” in order to listen to it later. The + (Plus) Icon or Saved terminology makes perfect sense because the listener is adding songs/albums to their library. (There is no matching label for “Heart Songs” or “Liked Albums”.) If I like a song, I’ll add it to a playlist that I create myself without needing to used the “like” terminology or clicking a heart Icon. Please revert this update or at the very least provide listeners the choice of icons/terminology.

Nothing to worry! Spotify is undertaking some changes and Songs folder name is now Favorite Songs. Another change is that the + and Follow buttons are changed to a ♥︎.
You will be able to Follow artists and playlists by tapping that heart which will add the to Your library, but don't worry they won't be added to your Favorite Songs yet. When you open a playlist or when exploring an artisits page for songs you can tap ♥︎ again this time to save them in Favorite Songs.
Spotify has made this change to make one universal icon to add something to your library! ♥︎

Thanks for your thoughtful response. Unfortunately, I'm disheartened by these changes because they do not make sense to me. I have never used a "Favorite Songs" folder and will never use one in the future. If I like a song, I'll add it to a new playlist that I create myself. I don't need Spotify to help me organize my favorite songs.

Spotify already had a universal icon and the [+] icon makes perfect sense and is not as ugly/distracting as the heart (in my opinion). Moreover, when I add an album or song to my library, I am usually listening to other music or unable to play music at that time, so this feature is essentially a reminder to listen to it later. As a result of these changes, I have to "like" or ♥︎ [heart] something that I have never listened to in order to add it to my library; and that illogic makes me shudder with disgust.

To put it another way, people still buy physical LPs, CDs, and tapes and these objects are added to their library. By simply adding it to their collection, we cannot assume that they like every song on the album or even the album as a whole. But that is exactly what Spotify is forcing right now with these changes. I sincerely hope these changes are reverted back to the + icon and Save button.

(The idea's case has been closed, so I cannot support it now.)

Don't be scared from it's status, you can still add your comment and if you feel that it should change start another idea to bring it again to attention 🙂
