Sound is alternating between speakers

I turned on the mono audio option on spotify but my speakers keep alternating sounds everytime I play a song. This is only an issue when listening to spotify, so I don't think it's an issue with my speakers.

Thanks for reaching out. We'll happily help you use the Mono feature.

We tested this on our end but couldn't reproduce it. To start us off, try performing a clean reinstall if you haven't already. If there's some technical hiccup causing this behaviour, this should help clear it. 

If the issue persists, let's try and narrow things down. Could you please provide us the following:

• Is this on all devices or only on this PC? 
• Does it happen only with one set of speakers or with any output device?
• When did this start happening?
• Does this happen with all content?
