My Question or Issue

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to change tracks, play/pause on my phone while im listening music on my Desktop app but my phone or pc does not show up on the "Connect to a Device" list.

I tried many things like fresh installation either with Safe Mode on and off, cheking and reauthorizing the firewall stuff and deleting things from the host file and still nothing shows up.

If you know how to fix this please help me, thanks.

My Question or Issue

When I woke up today I had errands to run so I used Spotify to play music while driving, everything was normal but when I got back home and got on my pc Spotify wasn't in sync with my phone and the web player. I clean reinstalled Spotify on both my desktop and my phone, changed the password, turned on offline mode on both my devices for 10 minutes, checked my firewall and antivirus, I don't use VPN, my internet isn't restricted and both my devices are up to date. I really don't know what else I can do, help?

Sorry to hear you're having problems with syncing devices.

If you haven't already could you try these steps

  • first of all, ensure  that your connection isn't being blocked by a firewall or any  VPN.
  • Verify if you're logged into the same accounts on both devices
  • Try a different network connection
  • Log out and back in on both devices.
  • restarting both devices

If none of those help, you should let me know but I'll need some help from you guys.

It'd be real helpful if you could share device info, like OS version and Spotify version of both the desktop and mobile apps.
