My Question or Issue

It doesn't matter which browser I use, Chrome or Firefox, incognito or not, extensions enabled or disabled, cookies cleared or not, or which network I'm on.

All other spotify.com subdomains work except open.spotify.com - the only one that matters.

Here's what the network tab shows, GET 403 error. The response of this request is the error page itself.

Is it an issue with Spotify, or Windows, any help with this? This has been happening for a week now and it's sadly disappointing since I just renewed my subscription a month ago

Thanks for the reply @arkmonark!

Have you tried opening the Web Player in Microsoft Edge to see if it works there? If it doesn't, try restoring the browser's factory settings to see if that alleviates the issue.

Something else you can try is flushing your DNS cache. You'll find a detailed guide on how to do that here.

Keep me posted on this!

Hi @arkmonark,

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Are you running the latest browser updates? Check if there are any pending ones and install them to see if that does the trick. Make sure also your firewall settings aren't blocking the Web Player.

Something else you can try is editing your hosts file and removing any lines that mention Spotify in the address. You'll find a detailed guide on how to do that here.

Cheers 🤘

I've already tried all those things while researching other similar threads.

My browsers are well above the minimum version required.

I don't really have any site specific firewall settings or settings that were newly added.

My hosts file doesn't have any entry for spotify.com or fastly

I'm not using a VPN or additional DNS plugin, but using one doesn't resolve it either

And the most important part, this has been happening all of sudden since last week. Any help with that?

Flushing the DNS cache worked for me

The page started loading immediately after with no issues

Thanks!!
