Spotify application won't load. Windows 7

I've Ctrl-Alt-Del and there is no spotify service running.

I've uninstalled (deleted the dir as the 'uninstall' option did nothing)

reinstalled the program to no effect

drivers are up to date and network is working properly

I was able to fix it by copying the spotify folder from a different computer.  God I hate this program and this message board.
