So I'm listening to a Radio, a song comes up that I want to add to a playlist, I click on teh album art and select add to playlist select the playlist then BAM music stops, dissapears. I'm rocking a W7 with plenty of memory (8core) NO reason for it to crash.
Also went to play Que to add the song Still crashes
If you can help it would be appreciated cause I'm getting angry.

This has been going on for over a week as it is. The support staff did not even seriously respond until days into the issue. Yeah, I think next week is unsatisfactory. I work for a dental software company and if we tried to give the support Spotify does, we would lose customers left and right.
I've got the same issue on my Mac (OS X 10.8.4) and Spotidy version 0.9.1.57.ge7405149.
Infuirating me as I use Spotify Premium every day in my line of work (Songwriting) but if this doesn't get fixed I could see myself going back to using web-browers to play tracks I need people to hear.
This has only just started happening to me today. But please hurry up and pull your fingers out and get this fixed, its a royal pain in the rear.
Love and kisses
Vahuna
I'm sure if you lot at spotify had to refund everyone for every day your product didn't perform to customer expectation you'd respond a lot quicker but the attitude seems to be "we've already got your cash so f*** you"!
This just started happening to me, it's pretty annoying, and I really hope something will be done about the probem soon.
This continues to happen to me, too, but only if the Spotify client has been running for some time. In that case, if I try to remove- or add tracks, either local files or streamed titles, the client crashes without any message. When I restart the client, all is well, at least for an hour or two.
History repeats itself. I love the idea of a streaming-only music service as I have no need to own recordings. I started with Urge (MTV, in collaboration with Microsoft), which worked grreat and as an add-on to Windows Media Player, which was a very elegant solution. But Urge's search stunk and they had no liner notes, no way to search properly for classical titles, no dates of original recording, etc.
Then Real Networks started Rhapsody and, eventually, they bought Urge from MTV. I was forced to download Rhapsody's client. It worked marginally well at first but the site's search function stunk and they had no liner notes, no way to search properly for classical titles, no dates of original recordings, etc. But, over the months and years, Rhapsody's client started getting worse and worse. First, it wouldn't run, even in 32-bit mode, on a 64-bit system. Then, it started crashing and hanging, so when Spotify came to the USA, I switched to Spotify.
Spotify is all right, but the site's search function stinks, they have no liner notes, there is no way to search properly for classical titles and there are no dates of original recordings. One can search for a title of a song only to find the recording you're looking for is missing, but it shows-up if you search for the artist. Classical titles are listed arbitrarily and generally without the composer's name. Spotify is a hodge-podge and nothing more. And, now, the client is getting worse and worse. We had one trouble (truncation of the first few seconds of every local file played, which problem started when the seamless playback "feature" was introduced) and the problem lasted for well over a year, with Spotify behaving defensively. Now, we have the client crashing on all platforms, and for nearly everyone, since the last update.
Basically, if another streaming service in the URGE/Rhapsody/Spotify mold starts, I'll switch immediately. As for Spotify, all I can say is, "feh!"
Got the same issue, crashes random when adding or removing a track from playlists .
Window7 64
Spotify version 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
work fine on my Htc One running android 4.3
Happening to me as well. Not every time I add to delete to a playlist, but more often than not. Haven't tested exhaustively, but seems more likely to happen if I use drag-and-drop than if I use right-click menus, and more likely if I try to add a song I'm not actively listening to at the moment.
0.9.1.57.ge7405149, Win8 64-bit
I'd consider Spotify Premium... if the software weren't so buggy and clunky. Any idea on when I might be able to actually use Spotify again? 47 pages worth of people reporting an issue over the course of a week and nobody can seem to find a solution?
This happens to me intermittently and I've only noticed it when I play the radio and add to a playlist.
OS: OSX 10.8.4
Client Version: 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
I've had this problem for about two weeks.. It first started when I tried to add track to my playlist with my android phone. music stopped and spotify crashed. Now it happens every time I add or remove tracks from every device I try to use. After I restart spotify I can add the track without spotify crashing, but pretty annoying having to restart spotify each time I want to add a track...
I have the same problem.
Everytime I try to add a song to a playlist, it crashes. Should not be like this. I pay for this **bleep**.
Version 0.9.1.57.ge7405149.
To the developers of spotify: This is a serious issue making the application unfit for its purpose and something that needs to be fixed ASAP, you can't really wait a over a week to fix it. If it is a difficult issue to fix, just roll back the previous version, it does not have this bug. And premium users should be compensated for it by reduced charge, the longer we have to wait for the fix the bigger the compensation should be. I hope you listen. I will not keep paying for spotify if I don't get a fix soon and compensation for this.
I'm having the same issue but its every other song and I use both W7 & W8 and its happening with both systems. I'm using lastest verision of spotify.
Yeah, this is absolutely insane - it's been happening for over two weeks and nothing has changed. This is a huge issue, I may have to unsubscribe TWO accounts I pay for. If I make a playlist, it adds one album, then crashes on the second - restart - find the second album and add it, add another album and it crashes.
It's absolutely essential to your service that this is fixed.
This is the terminal message it gave me when Spotify crashed:
01:27:42.289 I [<console>:0 ] Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL sp://885f8fb71a8f2b44de48b6a8d6e96114c9c3db94.discover/index.html from frame with URL http://www.efsharp-hosting.com/gap-hpto/. The frame requesting access has a protocol of 'http', the frame being accessed has a protocol of 'sp'. Protocols must match.
Has someone found a solution?? Or have people just stoped using spotify?
I think most have stopped using Spotify! I use it very sparingly! I begun using the other online music sites that I used to use. Like Jango, Rhapsody, etc... So hopefully Spotify will get this fixed soon!
