So I'm listening to a Radio, a song comes up that I want to add to a playlist, I click on teh album art and select add to playlist select the playlist then BAM music stops, dissapears. I'm rocking a W7 with plenty of memory (8core) NO reason for it to crash.
Also went to play Que to add the song Still crashes
If you can help it would be appreciated cause I'm getting angry.

I have crash dump files and console output. Where do I send them?
Thanks. I'll send an email and if you could please attach them in your reply we'll send them to our team who are investigating.
If anyone would like to do the same, please see this post for how to get the crash dump files. Thanks if you've already done this, and to everyone for your patience while this is being looked into.
As always, you can contact us through our website. Just send a message with your case reference number to a Moderator and we'll help out so you can attach the files.
I don't have a case reference number, but I have dump files. Can i just attach them in a forum-reply?

Sure thing - we can pass these along. Please let us know your OS and Spotify versions too.
Just for further info, you'll receive a case number after sending us an email from the contact form.
Edit: Please continue to use the contact form and let us know your case reference numbers. This is the best way we can help here.

spotify crashes when adding song to playlist... after crash I can add the song. After a while it all happens again when I try to add a song to playlist. From albums or radio, does not matter.

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Spotify version 0.9.1.57.ge7405149
Will not let me attach the files because they do not have a valid extension. I'll just use the contact form and get a case number.
I would like to point out for those that can't find the dump-files, that once spotify is restarted, the dump-files are deleted. What I did to not be without music was to copy the files - in my case to my desktop, so that I could then attach them to the email.
This is also pointed out in the instructions on how to get the dump-files, but I missed that at first.
Yeah, same issue here. Spotify is all updated, Windows 8 version. I'll add a song and it'll crash, restart and it'll work perfectly fine for a few hours, then the issue repeats itself.
It's crashing for me everytime I add a song to my playlists now, from artists page, radio or even if the song isn't playing, SO annoying, can't you guys fix it???
Yes, I am having this problem as well. Only when I add songs to playlist via drag and drop. Using Win7, and my machine/OS is tip-top. Definitely a Spostify error.
On both my Windows (7) computer and my Mac (OS 10.6.8), Spotify crashes on opening, after it has already crashed once. I've followed the uninstall/reinstall instructions for both and am able to use the desktop application for a while after that. However, the application ultimately crashes, either when I'm adding a song to a playlist, adding a new playlist, or trying to use an app (Pitchfork, Blue Note, etc.). It's only a matter of time. After this first crash, though, it will not open properly again. The desktop will launch, then crash after about 10-20 seconds. I'll then have to uninstall and reinstall. The application will work, for a time, but the crash will come eventually (as described above), then the uninstall, reinstall, etc., etc., etc. Very frustrating.
I'm growing very tired of this process. The crashes have been happening for about two weeks now. Not sure what happened to my account that it is happening on two separate computers, 11 miles apart. Both computers are on different ISPs, in different parts of the city (Orlando, FL). I've tried to attach the .dmp and the .dmp.extra file from my Mac, as indicated I should do here, but the forum will not accept them.

Okay, enough. This is day six of this issue on both my work pc and my home pc. I have had it. Does anybody even care that this issue is occuring?
As temporary workaround while the team is on this issue, I suggest uninstalling the lastest version you have running now and downloading an old version of spotify from here:
Windows: http://www.filehorse.com/download-spotify/old-versions/
OSX: http://mac.filehorse.com/download-spotify/old-versions/
Just make sure you don't restart Spotify (or your computer) to avoid it installing the lastest update. Running on 0.9.1.53 works fine for me for now.
Same problem on Mac OSX 10.8.4. When I try to add a track to my playlist Spotify crashes everytime.
9/18/13 9:09:17.186 AM com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[226]: ([0x0-0x2f02f].com.spotify.client[612]) Exited with code: 1
This is all that is in the console log.
I think I'm affected by this issue too. Starting a few days ago Spotify has crashed for no apparent reason when I've tried to remove a track from a playlist. After a restart of the player I can remove the track, but if I leave Spotify running for a few minutes and try to remove another track - crash. I got v0.9.1.57.ge7405149.
I backed off to 0.9.0.133 (.gd18ed589), and it still crashed when deleting from a playlist. Maybe some change on the service end is triggering this?

Check the bottom of page 32 and follow the instructions of that post. that goes for everyone. The more dump-files to analyze, the sooner this issue can be resolved is my guess.
Having the same issue. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no luck.

I'm experiencing this same issue. It started happening the other day. Nearly every time I try to add a song to a playlist Spotify crashes.
Spotify version:
0.9.1.57.ge7405149
I completely uninstalled Spotify on this machine (Mac OSX v 10.6.8) and reinstalled and I'm experiencing the same thing. It's happening on my home computer as well (with a newer version of Mac OSX). A friend told me he started experiencing this issue at the same time as me (on Monday, September 16, 2013 sometime in the afternoon).
I'm a big fan of Spotify. Thank you for all that you do.
Adding to the list of problems -- mine is very specific: Spotify crashes only when I highlight multiple songs for deletion and hit "delete" on my keyboard. Seems to be limited to 1 playlist -- my "to listen-albums" list -- but I haven't tried them all. Only for the past week, maybe, and not every time but almost every time. Deleting one song at a time does not cause the crash (though it does send me to the bottom of the playlist, so if I'm trying to delete multiple tracks in a row it can be very tedious to go back and try to find where I was).
Spotify version 0.9.1.57.ge7405149 on Windows 7
Same problem here. It doesn't happen every time, but it will randomly close when adding or deleting music.
