My Question or Issue

I've had the Windows 10 (non-UWP) desktop version installed and working fine for years, then one day all my playlists are empty and songs won't even attempt to play. I've reinstalled both Desktop and UWP versions of Spotify and it always behaves the same. Meanwhile it works fine on mobile and web player. I'm at a loss right now.

Hey there, I have a solution that should hopefully be able to help!

This issue could be due to individual network configurations, or modifications by third-party apps. For Spotify to work properly, it's suggested that you reset any network configurations to default, and disable any third-party apps that may interfere with Spotify. Source (official Spotify link)

Hopefully I was able to help and find the solution for you, let me know how it goes 🙂

Did this work for you? If so please mark it as the solution. This helps other users find the solutions to their problems in the future!

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Make sure you've installed all the latest updates.

If that didn't work could you try following the steps from this Spotify Answer?

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what I can suggest next!

Still no luck. My Spotify version is 1.1.15.448.g00fba0e3. My Windows version is 1903 build 18362.356.

I unistalled Spicetify and removed all related files from my Spotify install prior to reinstalling, and reset all my network configurations.
