Spotify lags when streaming files

Since yesterday I notice that Spotify on a Windows machine (2 different systems) mutes during playback of streaming content. The progressbar continues and after a short period 2- 10 seconds the music continues on the point of the progressbar.

Making the content offline available does not resolve this issue. Nor playing the playlist form another account on onother windows machine. Other programs function as normaly on both machines.

Any ideas?
