Spotify prevents Windows from shutting down

Solved!

Spotify prevents Windows from shutting down

Every time I shut downWindows 7 x64 (on a fast computer), I get a message saying that Spotify prevents Windows from shutting down. If I manually tries to exit Spotify, it takes just a few milliseconds, so that should not be the problem.

Is it possible to make Spotify automatically exit when Windows shuts down?

Same issue.  Very annoying.

Same Issue for both Desktop and Laptop, I think its because I have turned on "Start Spotify on Windows Startup", would be great with a fix so I don't destroy the fan in my laptop if I carry it turned on, without knowing it...

Same issue Windows 10 x64. Both on NUC, home desktop and work desktop. Got a speech this morning about leaving my PC on during the weekend. Only to see that Spotify was preventing shutdown.

Please fix this ASAP

Same issue.

And same issue here

Windows 10 Home 64 bit

1.0.34.146.g28f9eda2

It's really funny to see the incompetence here...

It's been 2 weeks now without any fix.

But when it works they push updates 2 times a week..

The original post for this problem is from 2013.. So yeah.

I've got the same issue. Please prioritise 😞

I don't know if anyone is still monitoring this thread but here is my version info.

Seems like it's fixed with version 1.0.36.124

No it's not fixed and I'm thinking about canceling my subscription, because it's embarrassing for a company that big that can't fix an insanely annoying issue that remained for about 2-3 years now.

This issue just started again 2 weeks ago..

Yeah I was having the same problem but the latest update (a few days ago) fixed it. Check that you are running 1.0.36 in the about page.

I've got the last version avaliable:

1.0.36.124.g1cba1920

And it's still happening. Every Time.

Windows 8.1 Pro, X64 version.

Thats weird..

1.0.36 Working fine on Win10 and 8.1

My spotify also received the update today and seems to not have the problem anymore. Thanks for fixing it relatively fast!

Current version: 1.0.36.124.g1cba1920

Problem is not solved. This reeks of a weird hack that was tested on 3 systems before rolling out. Luckily it's an annoyance only.

I'm running 1.0.36.124.g1cba1920

FIXED NOW!! thank you Spotify !!
