My Question or Issue
I am unable to play music in the spotify app or the web player. It works fine on my android phone.
I press play and nothing happens. I have tried restarting with the same results. I attempted the steps provided in this post: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Windows/Spotify-not-working-on-desktop/td-p/4704046#_=_
But I did not have any entries with spotify in the host file. Any assistance appreciated.

One question, did the app work before or is this the first time installing
and trying it ?
In the meanwhile i would like you to try and perform a clean reinstall of the app following the steps provided on this Spotify Answer.
If that did not help, please uninstall the app and head over here and install the Microsoft version of Spotify to see if that helps.
