Transparent playlist title bar?

I might not have noticed this before but is this title bar(?)(not sure of the actual terminology) supposed to be completely transparent?

It looks a bit odd to be honest when you scroll through your playlists.

The installed version is 1.1.74.631.g0b24d9ad. I was running the standard desktop app but I uninstalled it and installed it from the Windows Store just to be sure. Nope, both exhibit the same behaviour. I attached a screenshot.

That was a bug? I do have this too, if its a bug, it will be nice to fix it 😄 looks pretty annoying sometimes.

Hey folks,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the Community!

We can confirm that the bar is transparent and remains visible as you scroll through your playlists. This feature lets you sort in the playlist from your current position, without needing to start from the top.

We'll pass your feedback on to our design team, but there're no plans to change the current look for the time being.

Give us a shout if there's anything else we can help with.

Cheers!

Good to know it's not a glitch.

But it does look kind of odd though!

This new "update" is incredibly buggy and seems more like a downgrade than an update. It has blighted my experience ever since the Dec 13 update, considering it means that I can't drag and drop songs all the way to the top of my huge playlist anymore. I have to go through a painstaking process of selecting songs and scrolling and dragging/dropping and it's INCREDIBLY inconvenient. The legibility is also miserable, considering the text on the bar overlaps with songs. Awful design choice, please get better usability testers.

In the process of trying to remedy this new "feature", I downgraded versions of Spotify and now songs are unplayable in my playlists, no matter what I do. If you're going to implement bad design choices, at least let us revert to previous versions without punishment.
