Ubuntu device is taking over Spotify

Ubuntu device is taking over Spotify

Sinds a while my account has a device, on all my equipments such as iOs, windows etc...., called Ubuntu.

I'ts always there and continues playing all the time. When I paused the music Ubuntu unpaused it by itself.

When I'm playing on an other device and click pause, it will restart in seconds on that device.

It looks like a virus and is vissible on all my used devices.

How can i remove this "device" ?
I'm not using Linux or whatsoever.

It's realy annoying. Who can help me with this issue?

Hey @es1970

I recommend taking steps described in this article. This should help you get rid of the device using your Spotify account.

Note: if you use Facebook to log in, but you didn't create your account with Facebook, then your Spotify account has 2 passwords - I recommend changing them both. The malicious user might be using that Spotify password to log in and changing the Facebook login or going even 2-factor won't help unless you change this Spotify password as well.

Let me know how you get on. 🙂
