Upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 7 has resulted in jumpy, stuttery audio when doing almost anything else on my PC

 

I've tried adjusting my sound card/audio settings, but the problem still continues; I've also tried disabling hardware acceleration, but that doesn't help etiher

 

It's really annoyhing

 

My PC is fully optimised and I've got it running pretty fast

 

Can anyone help me please?
