Volume control does not activate on mouse down

This is such a basic UI issue, I cannot believe a product as "mature" as Spotify has not addressed this.

The volume control does not actuate on mouse down: it only applies when the tracker is dragged/scrubbed in either direction, or when the mouse is released. However, it is very normal for a user to expect to choose a relative position in the volume tracking area to mouse down at, listen to the result, and then scrub accordingly to make a finer adjustment. This is currently impossible, because mousing down anywhere has no audible effect whatsoever.

Again, I am floored that a product that has been in production for 14 years does not even have a fully working volume control yet.

If you'd like to present your feedback regarding the Spotify volume control options with the mouse, make sure to follow these steps:

1. Go to the Spotify Community
2.  Click on Menu
3. Click on Ideas > Idea submissions
4. Scroll all the way to the bottom and click on Let’s go
