Win 7 shutdown of computer - have to force quit Spotify

For a few weeks now each time I shutdown my computer (Win 7) I have to force quit Spotify. When will this bug be fixed?

This has been confirmed as a bug over on this topic and esclated internally by the Spotify team for a fix.

So, in October 2013 the issue was escalated to the Spotify team to fix yet in July 2014 the problem remains.

What's up with that?

This was fixed in 0.9.6.72:

I'm running 9.11.27 (which I assume is the latest/current)

And yes, it is happening every time I try to shut down my PC

OH BTW, it's on a desktop PC running Win7 Home Premium.  It happens every time at shut down

Just tested on my Windows 7 machine using 0.9.11.27 and it exited Spotify on it's own. Not sure why it is misbehaving on your system.
