Won't Uninstall

Won't Uninstall

Okay, so I am not an idiot when it comes to computers but here goes. I am a Spotify premium user. On my Windows 7 64 bit computer I have set for spotify to NOT launch at start-up but the application blatantly ignores this and starts anyway.

So, I then try to uninstall it through control panel > uninstall a program. I have double-clicked spotify itself as well as clicked it once then clicked the unistall button at the top. All that happens in all instances is that the mouse cursor shows the symbol that its working (the circular disk thingy) and then after a few seconds gives up and does absolutely nothing.

My hope was to unistall the applicationa and then re-install it in order to fix the issue of it starting unwarranted on start-up. If someone has a fix to this it woould be greatly appreciated. As you can tell this has annoyed me a helluva lot.

Hi @magafas5396, I am so sorry to hear Spotify is misbehaving! Can you try these steps for me?

Click Edit in the upper-left corner of the Spotify desktop application interface.
Click Preferences from the drop-down menu.
Scroll down to the bottom of the Preferences screen.
Click the circle next to Don't Open Automatically.

If that doesn't work please let me know!

Hi thank you for the help but as I said in the beginning, I specifically set the application to NOT launchy on start-up but it keeps on doing it.
