bug in new -a version

bug in new -a version

Hi all, Spotify just updated itself to the new "-a" version on my Windows devices, and I'm sorry to have to report a bug.  (full version # is 1.1.55.498.gf9a83c60-a ) .  You cannot edit playlists to cut and paste songs where you want them, either through the top Edit menu or through control X and control V.  The Edit menu still appears,  still offers cut and paste options, and still identifies the keyboard shortcuts for these and other editing functions, but they do nothing.  Drag and drop works, but this is impractical for longer playlists.  I edit longer playlists almost every day, so I'm hoping Spotify will correct this soon. If you are seeing this also, thank you for supporting this request.

Hey @luthersnow

Thanks for reaching out about this.

First up, it's well worth running a clean reinstall to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble. This one is more thorough than the usual one.

If this doesn't do the trick, would you mind asking a friend or a relative to log in to their account in your PC to check if the issue persists with a different account?

Let us know how it goes 🙂

Thanks for responding, Eni, but are you saying that you yourself can cut and paste tracks in your playlists with the current Windows version?  Or that you know others who still can?  A couple of other folks indicated here that this same thing has happened to them, and I know that the same thing happens on every windows device in our network, regardless of caching.  If you don't mind, check it out on some Windows systems and see if cut and paste has been disabled.  I'm trying to report this as a bug in the software, not a problem to troubleshoot on my end.  Thank you.

Hey there @luthersnow

Thanks for getting back in touch.

Sorry for the confusion. This option is no longer available in the new desktop client.
