desktop takes over playback

When I have the desktop program open and am playing on my phone, the desktop will randomly take over playback. It could be a few minutes, it could be a few seconds.

Have you tried performing a clean reinstall of the app as described here?

It's also important to check if your account is secured. Here are some steps on how to do that.
