My Question or Issue

I'm using Spotify for Windows (1.2.14.1149.ga3ae422d) and when I add tracks to a playlist, a message appears saying "feedback.added-to-playlist-specific". I think it used to say something like "Music successfully added to playlist", but it looks like the actual message isn't being rendered for some reason.

The expected behaviour is that the message should be a human-friendly message, rather than some sort of message ID.

Hey @ldjbUK,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.

This looks odd, the usual message should not be this one. Could you please let us know what language you've set for the app on your PC? Can you please change it to English to see if you'll get the same message?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hi, thanks for your message.

My language is set to "English (United Kingdom)".

I tried changing the language to "English (English)" added music to a playlist, and it displayed the correct message:

Then, I tried changing the language back to "English (United Kingdom)" and added music to a playlist, and it once again said "feedback.added-to-playlist-specific".

So this seems to be affecting users who have their app language set to "English (United Kingdom)".

With Deutsch(Deutschland) the "key" is also shown and not the correct text. Windows 10...

Hi there, I confirm the same issue with my UK English setting. Once I set it to general English, the correct message is displayed.

Seeing the same issue with Norwegian/Win11.

I can also confirm. I use Spotify on Windows 10 w/ UK English. Maybe some mess up on translation lookup tables I guess?

My Issue

There is a problem with the text of the notification when adding a song to a playlist. This happens when Slovenian language is used.

This used to work correctly.

This problem is still happening on the web player (today, July 6th). Changing from UK English to general English does fix it.

I tested this in the web player today (7th July) running version 1.2.16.518.g4d4b2cf1 with English (UK) as the language, and the issue did not present itself.

If you're still experiencing the issue, perhaps clearing your browser's cache will help.

Hey folks,

Thanks for all your reports 🙂

We can confirm this issue is now fixed. If you still notice this is happening on your side, make sure the app is up-to-date with the most recent app version available. You can check for possible new version updates in the three dot menu that you can find on the left-top of your screen in the desktop app. There, select Help> About Spotify. If there’s a new version available, you’ll see a button “restart to install”.

Make sure the browser you regularly use is up-to-date as well.

If anything else comes up, the Community will always be here for you.
