"see all" button for recently played missing and recently played is not updated

My Question or Issue

On the Home page in the Spotify desktop app, the "see all" button for recently played is missing. Recently played is also not updating as I listen to music.

 

I've attached a screenshot showing the Home page and how the recently played section is missing the "see all" button. The music shown in the recently played section was listened to over a month ago, yet I use Spotify daily.

 

I've tried the following:
- Rebooting the PC
- Preforming a "clean" reinstall of the app following this forum 

- Logging out and logging back in

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community, and welcome 🙂

 

If you've downloaded the app directly from our website, could you give it a try downloading it from the Microsoft Store, and vice versa? 

 

If this doesn't do the trick, let us know the exact Spotify version you're currently running.

Hey, Novy thanks for the reply,

I had it downloaded from your website when the problem first occurred and the "clean" reinstall instructed me to download it from the Microsoft store with the problem still being there.

As for the version I am on:
1.1.59.712.g54f36e5d-a

Thanks for keeping in touch.

 

We suggest making sure that Spotify doesn't have any restrictions on your firewall/antivirus.

 

You can also try clearing your hosts file by following the steps in this guide.

 

If the issue persists, could you try the web player and let us know if the See All button is available there, and if the Recently played section is updated?
