My Question or Issue

basically, my songs keep getting duplicated, or taken out of the playlist, and to add songs back into it i have to add them 3 times before they show up. it won't give me the option to clear my cache or anything. this is incredibly annoying. example is shown below.

Hey @dfgdjgbdbjfhs,

Thanks for posting your question in the Community.

We'd like to get a little bit more information. Could you tell us if the described issue appears both on the desktop app and on the web browser?

If you try to add a song only one time and wait a little bit longer, does it appear on the playlist?

It'd be also nice if you try to clear the cache and cookies of the browser you're running the web player on.

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

this is only on the website, and it does not add a song after i wait for it to, and it also won't let me clear cache or cookies.

Hey, @dfgdjgbdbjfhs,

Thanks for your reply.

In this case, could you tell us if this happens with a different browser and when logging in with another account?

If possible, let us know if the issue persists with a different device (laptop/phone).

We'll stay tuned.

The issue does not happen on phone or the app version, and it only happens in one playlist at the moment. This does not happen on other accounts or my other devices, however I'm not sure if it happens on a different browser.

Hey @dfgdjgbdbjfhs,

Thanks for your reply.

Is it possible for you to check if this happens with a different browser?

Changing tunes, we suggest that you create a new playlist and add the same songs of the playlist that you're having issues with, and tell us if the situation persists.

Lastly, we recommend that you clear your browser's cache/cookies, log out, log back in, and give it a try.

We'll be on the lookout for your answer.

so i checked my other laptop, and it's happened on that one too, so i think it's just an issue with the playlist

Hey @dfgdjgbdbjfhs,

Thanks for keeping us updated.

So the issue is isolated only on one particular playlist and it doesn't occur on other playlists?

If it is only one playlist, would it be ok for you to create a new one and copy to it the contents from the old one?

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

hey, so it's been a few months, i made a new playlist, but the issue is happening AGAIN. i'm getting fed up with this, i can't keep putting hundreds of songs here and there every time spotify decides to flip out. i want a permanent solution to this, this is driving me crazy

Hey again @dfgdjgbdbjfhs,

Thank you for your reply. We're sorry that you're still having this experience and we can understand that this feels frustrating. Let's continue to investigate this together.

To start with, can you clear you cache and cookies to see if the issue persists?

Also, can you kindly try a different browser to see if it makes any difference?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

yeah i tried both of those and it didn't seem to work unfortunately

Hey there @dfgdjgbdbjfhs,

Thanks for the post.

It's strange that this keeps happening to different playlists. It could be an account related issue or an issue with your network connection.

Can you let us know if you're using a work/ school network, VPN or work/ school PC when this happens.

Looking forward to your reply.

it's happened on only my laptop, and i've used different internet connections on it. it has happened on my school computer as well, but never my phone, which is strange

Hey @dfgdjgbdbjfhs,

Thank you for the clarification 🙂
Would you mind checking the apps on your account page :?
We'd recommend removing any apps you don't recognize.
If the issue persists after this, you may remove and later re-add the apps you'd like to keep as well to see if that would make a difference.

Keep us posted.
Thanks!
