Webplayer: cannot switch from English to Dutch

Solved!

Webplayer: cannot switch from English to Dutch

For some time now, the Spotify web player has been presenting itself in English only. (Firefox).

When I open the web player in SRWare Iron it is in Dutch, but it does not work in SRWare Iron. (Every song stops after 3 seconds).

In Firefox I can open the settings and change the language to Dutch. "Changes will be applied after restarting the app" it then says. But the web player is not an app and restarting has no effect.

How do I get the web player back in Dutch (in Firefox)?

In Firefox, Dutch is the only language used.

Hi there @user-removed,

Thanks for the post.

This sounds like a caching issue with Firefox. I'd recommend you clear your browser's cache & cookies and check if there are any pending updates.

Once you set the language setting from the Web player, it should remember your preferred language. It might delete those settings if you have an app which clears Firefox cache on a regular basis.

Let us know how you get on with this.

Hello Alex,

Cache and cookies are cleared by CCleaner several times a week and Firefox is always up to date with me.

Hey @user-removed,

Thanks for the reply.

Could you prepare a screen recording of the process so we can fully understand what is going on on your end?

Keep us posted,

Cheers!

Hello Dian,

Very simple:

I choose Dutch among the languages, but English remains after click.

Hey @user-removed,

Thanks for the clarification.

Would you mind checking if the same happens in an incognito window and in different browsers?

On another note, we suggest that you log out from your account and log back in to see if that makes the difference.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello Eni,

Because of another issue, I refreshed Firefox, which is quite a lot of work.

Now the Spotify webplayer is suddenly back in Dutch, just like before.
