Hey @Telray,
Thanks for posting in the Community and for the info!
As the app can be installed both from our website and from the Microsoft store and it can have a different behavior, could you delete the version you're currently using and try with the other one to see if that'll make any difference?
Let us know if that does the trick 🙂
thank you Ivelina, I have uninstalled the app downloaded directly from the SPOTIFY website and installed from MICROSOFT STORE (Spotify for Windows (64 bit)1.2.29.605.g66a43ceb) and unfortunatelly the problem is not solved (audio still in MONO).
Another thing I should mention (maybe it helps) is that both in the version downloaded from the website and from microsoft store the SPOTIFY VOLUME slider or the MUTE button have no effect on the output volume.
Addional note: this computer has a dual boot (WINDOWS / MAC) and the Spotify Mac App works perfectly (in Stereo. Same computer, same soundcard, etc)
Hi @Telray,
Thanks for the reply. Could you please try the following things:
Hope this helps.
unfortunately disabling HW acceleration did not help
drivers are at the latest update (stereo works with web app and using macOS with the same audio hardware)
Thanks for the response @Telray and for giving the steps a try.
Appreciate you checking that the drivers are on the latest update, but just to test if it would make any difference, could you even give them a reinstall? If needed, you can check the info here.
Should there be no difference it would help us a lot if you could send us a video of what's happening so we can have a look and listen. You can attach it via the Insert Video option in the post editor, but if the attachment is too big then you can either upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to see it) or upload it as unlisted YouTube video.
We'll be on the lookout 🙂
previous sound card was a MOTU MK3 (Spotify Stereo was working in Mac, not in Windows)
i've tried it with another soundcard (SSL2+) and it works in stereo in Windows
