Follower count has a bug

Hi, a while back when you first introduced Spotify Social I had around 4,000-5,000 followers. This seemed about right judging by how many people followed my playlists and the fact followers of playlists seemed to automatically follow the playlist creator according to your app's rules. However, after that, the follower count dropped off to just a handful, which seemed odd. Now it is back up to exactly 1,000. It hasn't moved despite me getting around 20 new follower notifications per day. Seems a bit odd! 

This is definitely not something urgent to fix (at least not for me, but perhaps for your celebrity users it is?) but thought I would point it out. A bug?

Update:

My follower count has started counting again. I think. Well it's not a rounded 1,000 any more but now 1,193. However, it's about 4,000 off the correct number still...

No problem, I've reinstalled Spotify. Now 1,196 followers, but no major change.

Hi, I keep having the same problem.

I should have about 4000/4200 followers (account: cabal76), but the count says 1000. And it keeps saying 1000 even when new followers arrive. 

News?

Oh well,  looks like this bug will never be fixed. 😞

Currently only calculating about 10-15% of my actual follower count.

Hey have a bug on my followers on my playlist just vibe. I have friends that said they followed the playlist but I dont see my followers number increasing.

Hi,
I have the same problem. I have more than 500 followers now but on my profile it shows only 6... I log out and I log in again but is the same. Is not a big problem for me, but I just apply for a Spotify Artist Page and I hope my request it will not be rejected because of some issues with the Spotify followers. Adrian

Apparently it is happening the same with my spotify artist account when it comes to the follower counter; it didn't happend with the spotify profile though, it happened in the spotify artist account:

Hi, I am having the same issues with wrong follower count on my Spotify Artist page and when I embed a follow-box on webb-sites. On my profile it is accurate though. It´s always 2-3 followers less than the correct number, so it´s not a big deal, but nevertheless, I wan´t to share my experience with others facing the same problem and hopefully find a solution.
