Extremely slow startup.

Extremely slow startup.

Android Version 4.4.2, Spotify Version 4.8.0.1004.

I think its trying to update all the playlists, I have a ton off them.  Sometimes a startup takes a few minutes, even after rebooting.  Kinda hard to fix when I'm driving.

Tried switching to offline mode, the options is missing in preferences.  Why?

Also tried tuning off cellular data, but that option is now missing too.  Why?

There SHOULD be an option to make playlist updates manual.

The slow startups, though.  Unacceptable, and its been that way for quite a while.

Please read the guide linked below for details on the most common issues and how to fix them. Usually a clean install is the first step to take and resolves most of the usual issues; the guide details the steps to take to ensure a full 'clean installation' is achieved - This includes checking redundant folders and a REBOOT!

Seems to have helped, the missing settings are back.  We'll see when I've finished syncing my CD library, around 40GB.  Hopefully that doesn't slow down the startup.  You didn't mention anything like that in the troubleshooting guide.  Most all of my library I have synced to Spotify, other than some more obscure albums, not available at all in the Spotify database.  I carefully tag everything to match.

After loading all my local files, not sure exactly how many, but minimum a few thousand, I did see a marked improvement.  Not instantaneous by any means, though.  A minute or so I would guess, and a lot longer than without any downloaded tracks.

Any guess why that might be?
