[Account] Quickly switch between saved Accounts

I just ask to be able to use several different accounts from the same device.

Hey folks,

 

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

 

We're happy to announce that the option to switch between accounts is being implemented. We'll start with Android mobile devices and tablets. Remember this is slowly being rolled out for everyone, so if you don't see it now, just make sure to keep your app up to date.

At the moment, we don’t have any info to share about when this will be available for iOS users. Rest assured that any news will be posted here.

Interesting... I'm on the same version and have never seen this option, so I am assuming it is being controlled server side then.

On my Nokia 8.3 (android 12) this feature comes and disappears. Really frustrating.

 

It was available in April when announced in this thread, but disappeared again approx a month later. Then this July the feature reappeared for approx. 14 days and is now gone again.

 

If devs are following this, some response regarding when this feature is actually ready (ie. not taken down again randomly) would be really appreciated

I had this for a couple weeks and then it disappeared. I am so frustrated -
seems stupid but it is one of the most annoying things to have to log in
and out between mine and kids' accounts.

Does anyone have this functionality consistently now? 

It sounds like it comes and goes with various updates for Android users.

The worry is it will slip out of focus with Spotify and never be fully implemented. 

We can't let that happen, it is a function that is usually included in any app with multiple users. But not Spotify.

 

I am on iOS and live in hope that one day it will happen for us.

I mean this issue was first raised on this forum in February 2016 so surely we can't have to wait that much longer...🤔

Agree HuB, I've not seen the functionality at all yet. Promises, no delivery. Still, it's not YET quite a decade!

The only way they are going to actually do this is if people start canceling their subscriptions. Otherwise they will focus their developers on other things.

User switching has not been available on my android a single time since my post 23 July.

Several updates has been pushed to the app, but not re-enabling this feature.

 

So now five month after the feature is marked as implemented, and the feature only having been available for a few days in two periods in the spring, I guess HuB ans other iOS users should expect to wait another eight years...
