[Account] Quickly switch between saved Accounts

I just ask to be able to use several different accounts from the same device.

Hey folks,

 

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Idea Exchange and voting to make this happen.

 

We're happy to announce that the option to switch between accounts is being implemented. We'll start with Android mobile devices and tablets. Remember this is slowly being rolled out for everyone, so if you don't see it now, just make sure to keep your app up to date.

At the moment, we don’t have any info to share about when this will be available for iOS users. Rest assured that any news will be posted here.

Thanks pipob for sharing! What device/OS are you using? I'm on iPhone/iOS with Spotify version 9.0.0.537 and I cannot see an option to add multiple accounts 😞

Still waiting. Windows desktop app still forces the user to log out and then the other profile to go through the login process via browser. For a family plan this is a no-go. Not very happy about the price jump when "innovating" means superficial, yet disorienting UI changes get implemented while essential functionality like this is neglected for years. Researching other options.

Please Spotify, how can it take nine months to role out this feature?? And no information on when it will be available on iOS. No response to this thread either. This is poor customer management. 👎

Follow up to my earlier post, I switched to a brand new Google Pixel 8 Pro phone running Android 15.

Still the option to switch accounts is disabled.

 

fun fact: I also have a secondary Samsung A7 Lite tablet with incredibly slow graphics. This, however shows me, that the feature is in deed still present in the software but just disable from Spotify's end.

 

In the two times one week during 2024 when the feature was actually available, I set up three accounts on the tablet. And Whenever I open Spotify the graphics loading takes forever, but I can see a circle with a digit '3' for a second or two. When the graphics are fully loaded, the digit '3' switches to the letter 'A' which is the initial of the name of the user logged in. This leads me to believe, that the app actually is aware that three accounts are set up in the app, but elsewhere the switched is disabled!
