[All Platforms] Explicit Filter

Add a button that controls whether Explicit songs are played or not.  When it is off and you're listening to an album or playlist, the explicit songs are skipped. That way you can still listen to your favorite album or playlist when more impressionable members of the family (kids / parents) are around.

Hey folks!

It's great to hear music as the artist intended it to be heard, this means Spotify can sometimes include explicit content.

We recommend looking out for the EXPLICIT tag on any releases (E on the web player).
Note: Our explicit content tags are applied based on information we receive from rights-holders. This means we can’t guarantee all explicit content is marked as such.

It's also now possible to use the Explicit content filter on mobile and tablet devices (more devices coming soon!). Right now, the setting is only for the individual account and device. If you do apply the setting on your phone, it doesn't filter explicit content for the same account on the desktop app. It also doesn’t apply if you use Spotify Connect to play to another device. For more information on this, check out this support article.

We'll keep you up-to-date if there's anything else to share!

Thanks

So, this still isn't implimented? What was the point of tagging all the explict songs then? Why even waste the time doing so? This needs to happen YESTERDAY. Pandora at work is terrible. C'mon Spotify, what are you even doing?!

Please add this! Not having this feature makes Spotify almost uselss when my son's around.

Just canceled because of this. You have to vote with your wallet. Unfortunately I'm switching to Apple music until this is resolved. Plus Apple family let's me have more people for the same $15. Hopefully if enough people leave because of this they will realise it is an important feature. I'm not a prude, I just want to be able to use the service I pay for while at work.

UNSUBCRIBED.  If you can't do this after four years of begging by your customers then you can't have my money. It sounds like you are not interested in protecting your customers/listeners. It is quite clear that you are on some kind of powertrip. Pathetic, really pathetic Spotiffy.

Spotify has an attitude to child protection like we have seen in some  church bishops and cardinals.THEIR ARROGANCE LED THEM TO BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE BEYOND ACCOUNTABILITY.

I don't understand why this isn't a thing yet! 1525 comments on here, the vast majority requesting this option, come on spotify, get on it!!

Just started up with Google play music. 3 months free. Come on in, the waters fine!

Just started an apple music family subscription. A little strange at first, like eating at Macdonalds;- but you can be pretty sure it wont make your kids sick

Family subscriptions with childrens sections establish an institutional trust situation. Spotify  fails to ensure a safe, trustworthy environment that can care for children with responsibility and safety.

Ditto what everyone else has said. The songs are already tagged, so it's ridiculous that this hasn't been done yet... Would also be nice if you had the option to go into a 'radio friendly mode', so that the explicit songs would still play but with the 'clean' version that was played on the radio.
